School Travel
Our aim is to provide a safe and efficient transport system
to the community and we believe our local schools can play
a role in assisting us to achieve this.
Alpine Travel transports approximately 3,500 pupils to and
from school every day and has maintained an excellent safety
record; the safety and comfort of all passengers, and especially
scholars, remains Alpine Travel’s top priority.
We have provided Home to School Transport for Local Education
Authority Transport Departments and school private hires
in and around North Wales since 1972. Recently, many school
routes throughout Conwy & Denbighshire have now been
upgraded from 74 seat double deck buses to modern 70 seater
school coaches and these collect and set down students along
a predetermined route to allow parents to meet their children
at specific times
Alpine Travel acknowledges that there is an increasing interest
by parents, schools and education authorities in how schools
transport can be further improved in relation to the care,
safety and security of scholars. Alpine Travel would like
to hear from Scholars, Parents, Teachers and Officials regarding
improvements to our service.
Travel by bus is around 10 times safer then travel by car.
Overall the safety risk of scholars’ travel on buses
is low. Accident records show that the main risk to bus passengers
is not while traveling on board, but when they are alighting
and as pedestrians.
Alpine Travel abides by all local, UK and European regulations
regarding the carriage of passengers, adults and children,
in exactly the same way as all other bus operators are required
to do across the UK as a whole.
In addition to providing transport for local authorities
on a daily basis Alpine Travel is also very much involved
in the organization and operation of coach based holidays
and days out for both school & private children’s
groups and are able to provide a whole array of services
from simply supplying a coach for a day trip to booking tickets
for attractions, hotels, ferries and meals. Please contact
